Relation keeps everything on your device. There is no account, no analytics and no server of ours.

Who is responsible

Responsible for this app and this website is the operator of Relation, reachable at relation@bognar.net.

What stays on the device

People, notes, stories and everything else live in the app's protected area on your device. Stories are turned into text and analysed on your device; the recording isn't saved.

  • No account, no identifier, no analytics, no ad SDK.
  • Apple Intelligence, speech recognition and text recognition run on your device.
  • The app only reads contacts, calendar, photos and location when you use the feature and allow it. It only writes to Contacts what you confirm.

What the app loads from the network

The app only calls these addresses, and only when you use the feature. Nothing about you is sent along.

  • Weather for activity suggestions comes from Apple Weather, only with the person's approximate home town.
  • Apple Maps finds home towns and places nearby.
  • If you save a link to a gift idea, the app loads the title and image from that page.

iCloud

Your data syncs between your devices through iCloud. That is Apple's service under your Apple Account; we see none of it.

Sharing

Sharing is optional and runs through Apple's iCloud. Only people you invite by name see what you share, and only the fields you allow. Notes, stories, meetups, circles and your network are never shared. When you end sharing, it's gone for the recipient. A forwarded link gives no access.

Purchases

Purchases go through Apple. We learn neither your name nor your payment method; the app only checks whether the purchase exists on your Apple Account.

This website

The website is static and sets no cookies. The host (Cloudflare) processes technical connection data when you visit.

Your rights

Since we store no data about you, there is nothing to inspect or delete on our side. Deleting the app removes everything. Questions go to relation@bognar.net.

Legal basis

This website is governed by the Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR.

If something changes, it appears here with a new date.
